scrappy socks
I wasn't kidding about my summer of socks!
These are for Afghans for Afghans, which is currently asking for socks of all sizes from child through adult women. I used scraps of DK weight yarn and size 3 needles, and cast on 48 stitches for a nice, firm fabric. The socks fit me (I wear size 7 shoes), so I guess that makes my gauge about 6 stitches per inch.
I'm afraid this is the only pair of socks I have to send to A4A for the current campaign. I've got some birthday knitting coming up! But hopefully even this one pair will make a little bit of difference.
